The Democratic National Committee is looking to hire a deputy digital director—the number two position on a team of digital experts, running one of the largest and most active digital programs in the country. The deputy digital director should have deep experience with and command of digital strategy and best practices. In addition to partnering with the director to run the DNC's digital team, you will be responsible for proposing, coordinating, and executing digital campaigns in response to breaking news and political developments, as well as acting as a key liaison between the DNC and OFA digital teams.

You should bring creative thinking, an innovative spirit, and an eagerness to push the envelope and constantly improve our digital organizing.

Qualifications:

  • Experience running a digital organizing program at the director or deputy-director level
  • 2+ years high-level digital work experience with an electoral campaign, advocacy organization or non-profit
  • Expert knowledge of digital strategy, organizing, and fundraising best practices
  • Strong understanding of how to recognize a great hook moment, how to build digital campaigns that move people to act, and what actions will achieve the right impact at the right time
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with online organizing platforms (e.g. Blue State Digital, Convio, GetActive)
  • Proven leadership managing staff and running a team
  • Willing to work long hours as needed
  • Ability to work under deadline pressure
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects
  • Passionate about engaging millions of Americans in advancing President Obama's agenda, strengthening the Democratic party, and changing the country
  • Bachelor's Level Degree required, higher degree preferred
  • Candidates must be willing to relocate to Washington, DC

Preference given for experience with:

  • Statistical analysis and reporting
  • Multiple areas of digital work (i.e. social media, design, development, email, etc.)
