
Info for Virginia Voters:
If you registered to vote in Virginia, you have the right to vote.
Even if your identity or registration is questioned, you have the right to sign an affirmation form under oath and cast a ballot
- If the records incorrectly show you moved or that you already voted when you have not, or an election official or a poll watcher challenges you, you have the right to vote by signing an affirmation form stating you are registered in that precinct.
- If you are asked to present ID at the polls and you do not have ID, you have the right to vote by signing an affirmation form stating you are who you say you are
- Acceptable forms of identification include the following:
- Virginia voter identification card
- Valid Virginia driver's license
- Military ID
- Any Federal, state or local government-issued ID
- Employer issued photo ID card
- Social Security card
You also have the right to:
- Vote in private
- Vote if you are in line at the time the polling place closes
- Seek assistance in voting if you are blind, have a physical disability, or are unable to read or write
- Blind voters may have any person assist them.
- Other voters may have anyone who is not their employer or union representative assist them.

Remember, you have the right to vote! Do not leave your polling location without voting.
