Election Information
Those individuals interested in running for a position on the CDA Executive Board position (those being President, Vice President, Director of Communications, Director of Development, Director of Membership, Director of Political Affairs, Director of Programs, and National Council Chair) must submit a declaration of their candidacy to our Elections Committee Chair, Sam Hodge, at elections@collegedems.com between July 20 and August 20 at 11:59pm EST. Declarations of candidacy may be no more than 1,000 words.
Candidates running for President and Vice President must be of the opposite gender, run on the same ticket, and must submit their two candidacy statements together.
The CDA elections will take place on Sunday, August 24th. The Candidate Speak-Out -- where you, as a candidate, will be able to address the audience and they will be able to ask questions -- begins at 8:00am and it ends at 9:00am. Following the candidate speak-out are the CDA elections.
There will be a conference call on Wednesday, August 6th at 6:30pm EST for everyone who is interested in running for a CDA position. If you have any interest in a CDA position you should be on this call. In addition, a mandatory meeting for all candidates will take place before the CDA elections in Denver.
