Commuting in Denver

The College Democrats of America Convention will be at the centrally located Colorado Convention Center at 700 14th Street in Denver. Our housing is located at the University of Denver which is about a ten minute drive away from downtown Denver.

A light rail runs from downtown Denver to the University of Denver. You can reach campus by taking light rail lines E, F, or H. The train station on campus is located at the north end of campus.

You can also get to the University of Denver by bus if you take Routes 21, 24 or 79.

Other events will be held throughout Denver. The Democratic National Convention will take place on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights at the Pepsi Center at 1000 Chopper Circle. On Thursday night, Barack Obama will accept the Democratic nomination at Invesco Field which is located at 1701 Bryant Street, Denver, CO.

Please note that if you are flying into Denver you will land at Denver International Airport. This airport is a significant distance out of town and you are responsible for getting yourself to the CDA Convention. Public buses are located at doors 507, 511, 506 and 510. Commuter vans (like shuttles to/from the airport) and taxis are located at doors 505, 507, 510, and 512.
