Barack and Michelle Obama, Joe and Jill Biden. Americas first black couple in the white house. They didn't want to give us 40 acres and a mule back then, so this time around we took 50 states and the white house. Our time has come and African Americans across America will not tolerate anymore and discrimination, black signs and backdoor entrances. We will not tolerate the "n" word , or porch monkey nor colored or slave.
Call me by my name, address me by sir or Mr.
Treat me like a human, like a man. Treat me with respect and dignity, and with love.
I have stood the test of time and fought against the wrong doings done to me. I have witnessed the cruelty and anger of the people who have went against me. I have endured the pain and hurt of discrimination and beating, threats of hangings and s.
My God has over seen my black president and carried him to greatness. Barack Obama
The black community has stood and expressed themselves through the voice of a vote. Barack Obama
White, Asian, and cultures alike have stood holding the black communities hand and helping us elect a man of unspeakable greatness. Barack Obama
I tell you now America, a change has come and once more America shall stand tall with pride, dignity, freedom, and democracy. We shall scream to every ear . . . Barack Obama !
We will send letters to every address in the world proclaiming it is he . . . Barack Obama !

I tell you lets stand and unite to become the country that we once were. The United States of America.

God bless this country and its citizens alike. And may God himself personally bless Barack Obama as he leads this nation to prosperity, to greatness and most of all to a change we've been waiting for.   Read More »
I just suddenly had these three ideas pop up in me head so I decided to post them and share. I am really excited about this.

It Won't Take My President 20 Years To Decide You Don't Damn America In Church!

Just A Minute.....Did Obama Give You Permission To Say That?

Is It Too Soon To Say "I Told You So?"

So did anyone think that Biden was going to slip up as much as he does already? I mean I know the guy has a loose tongue and thinks his jokes are funny, but seriously this is way too much. I kinda think Biden is like my grandpa, he makes jokes that no one in the family thinks is funny and totally offends the hell out of my dad who just can't seem to stand it (which is a little funny to me). I wonder if that is what Obama is going through, trying to put up with Biden's jokes and screw ups and keeping a smile on his face so that no one thinks that he is annoyed by the whole thing. The only problem is that Obama can't drive across the country to get away from Biden...

Here's to hoping that Biden takes it down a notch...

PIC Announces Theme and Preliminary Information about Schedule of Official Inaugural Events
Wednesday, December 10, 2008
http://www.pic2009.org/pressroom/entry/theme_and_preliminary_information

The Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC) today unveiled the official theme for the inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama, "Renewing America's Promise," a vision that underscores the President-elect and Vice President-elect’s commitment to restoring opportunity and possibility for all and re-establishing America’s standing as a beacon of hope around the world.

“At this moment of great challenge and great change, renewing the promise of America begins with renewing the idea that in America, we rise or fall as one nation and one people,“ said President-elect Obama. “That sense of unity and shared purpose is what this Inauguration will reflect.“

The PIC also outlined a preliminary schedule of official inaugural events that underscores a commitment to organizing activities that are inclusive and open to the public. The following events will take place in the nation’s capital between Sunday, January 18th and Wednesday, January 21st:

For a mere 50K, you get a 4-day inauguration trip

WASHINGTON -- The inauguration committee of President-elect Barack Obama, who ran on a platform to change the way business is done in Washington, is selling four-day packages of four tickets to his historic swearing-in ceremony and parade plus some extras in exchange for $50,000.

The deal does represent a change. President Bush charged $250,000, selling his supporters a much bigger menu of inaugural goodies that featured candlelight dinners.

On Friday, members of the Obama National Finance Committee were spreading the word about their package to friends and associates around the country.

Biden adviser to take Senate seat
By David R. Sands
Monday, November 24, 2008
http://washingtontimes.com/news/2008/nov/24/longtime-biden-adviser-take-senate-seat

Edward E. "Ted" Kaufman, longtime adviser and chief of staff for Vice President-elect Joseph R. Biden Jr., will serve the first two years of Mr. Biden's Senate term as the Delaware Democrat moves to the White House.

Delaware's Democratic Gov. Ruth Ann Minner made her choice known at a press conference in Wilmington Monday, setting the table for a special election in 2010 in which Mr. Biden's son, Beau Biden, is the clear front-runner to claim his father's Senate seat.

Mr. Kaufman, a Wilmington-based political consultant and a lecturer at the Duke University School of Law, served as head of the senior Mr. Biden's vice presidential transition team and has long been one of his closest aides. From 1974 to 1993, he was Mr. Biden's Senate chief of staff.

Mr. Biden, the longest-serving senator in Delaware history, won a seventh six-year term Nov. 4 in addition to his election as vice president. But Mr. Kaufman said Monday he would not serve out the full term and would not run in the 2010 special election.

Vice President-Elect Sen. Joe Biden (D-DE) has just named three new White House staff positions:

Ms. Cynthia Hogan will be counsel to the newly-elected Vice President. She previously served as Chief Counsel to Senator Biden during his time in the United States Senate, and served as Staff Director of the Senate Judiciary Committee. In 1995 she assisted with the drafting of anti-terrorism legislation.

When she worked for Committee Chairman Sen. Biden, they successfully passed the landmark 1994 Violence Crime and Control Act and the Violence Against Women Act. She also advised him during the Supreme Court nominations process for both Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Stephen Breyer.

Mr. Moises V. Vela, Jr. will join the White House staff as Director of Administration to Vice President Biden. From 1996-2000, he served as Chief Financial Officer and Senior Advisor on Hispanic Affairs for Vice President Al Gore. Most recently, Vela was the founder and a partner at The Comunidades Group, a multi-family acquisition and operations company headquartered in Denver, Colorado.

Mr. Biden's wife, Dr. Jill Biden, has named Catherine M. Russell as her new Chief of Staff. Most recently, Ms. Russell served as Chief of Staff to Mrs. Biden during the presidential campaign.

She also worked as a Senior Advisor to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on international women's issues. During the Clinton Administration, she served as Associate Deputy Attorney General.

Senator Biden remarked, "Cathy Russell has a unique blend of policy and management experience, combined with an ardent commitment to ending injustices around the world. Cynthia Hogan is a brilliant lawyer who was instrumental in guiding the Senate Judiciary Committee though some of its most important challenges in both crime control and judicial selection, and has shown incredible legal acumen and integrity over her career. I'm grateful to have Moe Vela, a man with experience in White House management and broad outreach skills on my team."

We wish them the best of luck and much success in their new jobs!

Happy Birthday, Joe Biden!

There is a great profile on Senator Biden in today's New York Times, "From The Road: Biden's Closing Argument." Here is the link:

http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2008/11/04/politics/fromtheroad/entry4568577.shtml

"...Biden's poll numbers have steadily climbed since he was announced as Obama's running mate, and nearly three quarters of Americans believe he would be prepared to take over the presidency..."

"...This election is not about Barack," Biden said Monday. "It's not about me, it's not about Sarah Palin or John McCain, it's about you and now it's up to you. It's up to you to take back this country."

"It's in your hands. In less than 24 hours, we'll know who the next leader of the free world is and ladies and gentlemen, I know. I know, America knows, that Pennsylvania is going to decide the next President of the United States of America. It's gonna be Barack Obama!"

God bless you, Joe Biden...we're with you, all the way!
There really isn't a lot left to say as we head into the final 24 hours of the campaign. First, and most important, Kelly, Amanda and I want to thank everyone who has helped in any way with the campaign. The one thing I will take away from this experience, regardless of the outcome on Tuesday, is the people I've met, the communities I've visited and the stories we've shared.

It has also been encouraging how many people have stepped up over the last 2 weeks to help with donations to the campaign. Once our opponent got desperate and decided to go negative there were many people and organizations who stepped up and sent in late donations. These late donations allowed us to expand our media advertising and create a second TV ad to combat the distortions coming from our opponent's campaign.   Read More »

My name is Asher Heimermann, 14, from Sheboygan, Wisconsin. I am supporting Barack Obama because I believe he is the right candidate to bring the change we need. I know that Senator Barack Obama and Senator Joe Biden are best prepared to address our economic crisis by bringing tax relief to working families, protecting American jobs and investing in education and new technology. As a student in a public high school in the Midwest, I understand the importance of education and how my education will lead to my career later in life.

Senator Obama has dedicated his career to bring people together to tackle the large issues facing our country. As a state Senator he worked with Republicans to expand healthcare to 150,000 children in Illinois and passed $100 million in tax cuts for working families. In the United States Senate, Senator Obama worked across the aisle to pass ethics reform leglation that was described as the "gold standard" for ethics reform. He worked with Republican Senator Richard Lugar to pass legislation to secure dangerous nuclear weapons.

As President, Senator Obama will bring the change we need and make this economy work for the middle class families by cutting their taxes and reducing the cost of gas and healthcare. I support Senator Obama and Senator Biden because I want America to be the country of hopes and dreams. I hope that you will join me and support Barack Obama and Joe Biden on November 4th. Time and time again, Senator Obama has proven himself as a leader who can bring together people of all different backgrounds and beliefs to help us address the important problems facing the country. He is the type of leader we need in Washington to get this nation on the right track.

If you’d like more information about Senator Obama or Senator Biden’s positions or would like to get involved in our campaign, you can call 1-866-675-2008 or visit www.BarackObama.com. Only you can decide who our country’s next President of the United States of America will be.

MY PERSONAL FUNDRAISING GOAL:

As a young American, I dream of a President who is honest, personable, intelligent, and wise. I want a leader with courage and integrity who has known the struggles of an everyday American. A lot of people have stopped believing that may even be possible. I haven't stopped believing. I support Senator Barack Obama because he is that leader.

Please help donate to personal fundraising goal for Senator Barack Obama and Senator Joe Biden. Every dollar counts. You're not just helping me reach my personal fundraising goal but you're also helping Senator Obama and Senator Biden get elected as our next President and Vice President of the United States of America.

Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari announced Tuesday government awards for U.S. Democratic vice presidential nominee Joe Biden and Republican Senator Richard Lugar.

Biden and Lugar in July introduced a bipartisan U.S. aid plan which calls for $1.5 billion per year in non-military spending to support economic development in Pakistan.

Zardari had awarded them the "Hilal-i-Pakistan" (Crescent of Pakistan) "in recognition of their consistent support for Pakistan," the government said in a statement.

Pakistan has figured in the U.S. presidential election campaign, with both Democratic candidate Barack Obama and Republican John McCain speaking of the need for more focus on defeating the Taliban insurgency in Afghanistan and eradicating al Qaeda from Pakistan's borderlands.

Zardari is the widower of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, who was assassinated in a suicide attack in the city of Rawalpindi on December 27 last year.
