As I was reading various articles in the news today, one of them is striking.

"Presidential scholars question Palin Credential."-- Yahoo News

Here are the following quotes “The first thing that hits me,” said Stephen Hess of the Brookings Institution," is that it suggests that John McCain is a gambler. This is a high roller decision.” “The next thing you have to ask yourself: Is it worrisome to have a gambler in the Oval Office? That’s an important question," he said, “perhaps more important than anything else today.”

This is a profound statement and one that must be noted and reitorated every time. I am glad that the RNC came back with the following statement

After reading this article, the McCain campaign issued the following statement: "The authors quote four scholars attacking Gov. Palin's fitness for the office of Vice President. Among them, David Kennedy is a maxed out Obama donor, Joel Goldstein is also an Obama donor, and Doris Kearns Goodwin has donated exclusively to Democrats this cycle. Finally, Matthew Dallek is a former speech writer for Dick Gephardt. This is not a story about scholars questioning Governor Palin's credentials so much as partisan Democrats who would find a reason to disqualify or discount any nominee put forward by Senator McCain."

This is even more disturbing since the RNC is more interested in protecting the candidate rather than the Nation. This is a travesty that places the party's interest above the nations interest.

We are a nuclear powered nation with 1000's of nuclear and ballistic weapons and currently in direct confrontation with Russia and other nuclear powered nations. If we have a gambler in the white house then we are bound to have a Nuclear confrontation anytime during the next 4 years.

This is what should be emphasized in the next set of Ads from Barack

MEET ANOTHER DEMOCRATIC CONGRESSMAN WHO VOTED TO GIVE CORPORATE IMMUNITY TO TELECOMS AND GEORGE BUSH LAST FRIDAY

Below we have Congressman Gary Ackerman who is presently serving his twelfth term in the U.S. House of Representatives. Ackerman represents the Fifth Congressional District of New York, encompassing the North Shore of Queens and Long Island, including West and Northeast Queens and Northern Nassau County .

But Congressman Ackerman's mischief doesn't stop at supporting corporate America and our morally defunct president over the constitutional rights of the citizens of this country.  Ackerman along with Mark Pence (Republican) drafted a piece of saber rattling legislation to take us one step closer to giving Bush or Israel impunity to attack Iran.  This is Resolution H. Con. res 362.  Call your representative tomorrow morning and tell him/her to vote no on 362.  The House is voting on this resolution some time this week.

In the history of warfare, only two nuclear weapons have been detonated offensively, both by the USA during the closing Days of World War II:  Hiroshima on August 6, 1945 and Nagasaki three days later.  These attacks resulted in the immediate deaths of 120,000 human beings. (9/11 rather pales in comparison, doesn't it?)

Since Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings, nuclear weapons have been detonated on over two thousand occasions for testing and demonstration purposes.  The only countries known to have detonated such weapons are (chronologically) the United States, Soviet Union, United Kingdom, France, People's Republic of China, India, Pakistan and North Korea.

There have been (at least) four major false alarms, the most recent in 1995, that almost resulted in the U.S. or USSR/Russia launching its weapons in retaliation for a supposed attack.

Pakistan protests to U.S. and NATO OVER AIR STRIKE

PARIS: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has held important meetings with U.S. Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice and NATO Secretary General here. In the meeting, Qureshi protested to U.S. and NATO over air strike in Mohmand Agency.

Speaking to reporters after a meeting between Rice and Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi in Paris, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia, Richard Boucher said Condoleezza Rice has expressed regret over the death of Pakistani soldiers in Mohmand Agency.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi also held meeting with NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer and termed coalition air strike into Pakistani territory as a provoking act. NATO Secretary General expressed regret over the incident.

MY COMMENTS
Our military "accidentally" kill 11 citizens of another country with whom we are not at war, a country who is tenuously our ally, and a country who has nuclear weapons and the best this sorry excuse we have for a president can do is to have the U.S. Secretary of State to "express regrets" to their foreign minister FOUR days later?

What was that you said about impeachment?  Bush and his entire administration are endangerments to life as we know it on this planet.  I can't understand why our Congress is not able to comprehend this.  We would be much safer if a baboon were in charge.  Oh wait a minute.  I guess I'm mistaken.  It appears that a baboon is indeed in charge of this country.

First understand that Bush’s war has put the surrogates of the Ayatollah of Iran in power.  The Sunnis were in charge in Iraq until our invasion.  The USA usurped the Sunnis and installed the Shiites in power in Baghdad.  Iran is ruled by Shiite ayatollahs.  Shia Islam is the minor sect. Most countries in the Middle East are Sunni and not Shia.

Both Hillary Clinton and John McCain with their votes and support of Bush’s invasion of Iraq were major contributors to squandering U.S. leverage over Tehran.  Now like the two hypocrites they are, they threaten Iran over nuclear weapons.  Both Clinton and McCain were and are part of the problem.  Because of their war, Iran’s surrogates, a minority in the Muslim word, are officially in power with the blessing of the USA.

No nation has the right to obliterate the population of another and that is what a leader of our country should be saying—not providing the example that Clinton recently did. Clinton, like George Bush, has played to the fanatics who think that power belongs to those who take it, a failed foreign policy that needs to change—not only if we survive as a nation, but if we are to even survive as a species.

Hillary, with her naïve, immature and brash statement to wipe Iran off the face of the earth has given Iran its best justification to continue to develop its nuclear capability.

Let us remember that our country is the only country in the world who has ever used nuclear weapons to kill other human beings.

Again, we need a peacemaker, not a war monger who threatens other nations with nuclear holocaust, as the leader of this nation.Obama 08
