I really, really need a life. All I do is see my boyfriend, think about elections, and try to focus on school unsuccessfully. Fuck.

Sounds like you're bored with it all
By Patriotic09 Oct 5th 2007 at 4:47 pm EDT
Go outside and go to your favorite place and suck in some clean air, look at eye candy, exercise will cleanse your soul. Just put it all out of your mind, we'll get a new president, new members of Congress eventually, but your studies will get you to a place that you want to be. So, where do you want to be?

I second the exercise and fresh air suggestion. I hate to exercise, but I always feel better after a long walk!

At least...

WHERE'S a MODERATOR WHERE'S a MODERATOR

WHERE'S a MODERATOR WHERE'S a MODERATOR
.
That's all I heard from 25 of you when I didn't even use profanity. Well this post contains ugly gross profanity which is really inappropriate
.
WHERE'S a MODERATOR WHERE'S a MODERATOR
.
Surely there's not a double standard here is there.?.?.?.?.

You'll never hear me crying about the seven words you can't say on TV because this ain't TV. I think there's a context to all content. If one is posting an ugly slang word in an attempt to slur someone then I balk at it an dislike that, but but to just exclaim some frustration within yourself it's different. If that's a double standard then I guess it must be what it must be, but that's just how I feel.

Oh, and Kristy I do hope you did not take offense to my post because it was all in jest. Well, kinda!!

Re: You might consider a break...

You need a life? At least you have a boyfriend, and you are working your way through college, which is supposed to lead to a better life.

Me? I'm unemployed with a BA in media studies [communications], and a MA in Professional Studies [Community Service Administration] in which no employer will even recognize either degree. At least that's the excuse I get for all the denials. I'm a single male, 51 years old, trying to raise my 10 year old son in a female dominated social service networked world [think about that one]. The best advice I could give you is the advice you already gave yourself; fuck, fuck.fuck!

Concentrate on your school work, and get involved with as many activist networks as you can. That is, in between the fuck, fuck, fuck! Oh, yeah, and use protection unless you want more excitement in your life than you could ever believe.

Children are absolutely great, but at least wait until after we can get rid of NCLB, and constrain our out of control drug industry.

Damn, forgot to sign my name again. I try to do that now, but forget often.

Just enjoy life and your youth, okay?
