Tim Pawlenty calls working and middle class Americans "greedy" - while he does his best to make sure Bank of America and other big corporations PAY ZERO in Federal taxes.

Hey Tim, us hard working Americans who don't live off of campaign donations know a thing or two about *greed* and let me tell you what it looks like: Anti-working class politicians like you, who allow working Americans to lose their wages and homes, while you pander to and protect those who PAY NOTHING IN TAXES.

We pay 1/3 of our income, but the biggest corporations pay ZERO. How is that greed, Mr. Pawlenty? I dare you to explain it, but I know you won't.

You have unleashed the lion with this union-busting trickery; a movement has been unleashed to make the rich PAY THEIR FAIR SHARE. The working class has sacrificed enough already!

Glad to see your post Dave.

We went to support the unions @ the Indiana state house on Saturday.

People don't realize that without the unions we wouldn't have sick leave, 40 hour week, overtime, workman's comp, unemployment, a minimum wage.. ...those are only a few of the things that come to mind. That's not to mention that the union support has brought us medicare and medicaid as well as SSI.

My grandfather was a union man, I remember the strikes when I was growing up. Much of it was about job security... in the old days if you past middle age you had a better than fair chance of losing your job because of your age. He was able to provide well for my grandmother and took care of his family. He lived through the great depression and took in his sister and her sons as well as grandma's youngest brother. He later helped raise myself and my siblings. He was a BIG man.

Now days, people seem to think it is normal to work a 60 hour week and still not be able to pay the bills. Many have no healthcare, or pension.
I laugh when I think of the bill of goods we were sold on 401K's. Let's see.. pay your money in, the company uses it to invest in the market and then when it tanks... SORRY!!
Many of the states that are in trouble with the pensions they owe, put the money in the market.
When the great robbery took place, the pension money went away and now it's the union's fault.
Seems to me that the time for a little shift has come.
peace,
marsha
