Let's come together to stop global warming.
Yesterday I called both my senators and congressman in Washington to urge that a comprehensive Public Option be included in their healthcare reform bills. In the beginning I wished for Single Payer, but this is a good start. Check the Congressional Switchboard links to avoid long distance charges.
Friday last I had the honor of attendinding Grandpa Dine's Spiritual cleansing. I was in the circle with my grandpa and many wonderful Native brothers and sisters, whom made a special sacrifice to pray for grandpa all night long, from early evening untill the following day at sunrise.
ALL NIGHT LONG THERE WERE SACRED PRAYERS AND SONG FOR MY GRANDPA'S HEALTH AND WELL BEING. HE WAS ADMINISTERED THE MOTHER SEED PEYOTE AS THE PRAYERS AND SACRED SONGS WENT ON ALL NIGHT LONG. HIGH UP IN THE MOUNTAINS OF THE SANTA ISABEL RESERVATION.
Through the night until morning he took many teaspoons full of powdered mother seed and washed down with peyote tea. He was up all night on his ironwheeled horse. The experience for me was a highly memorable one. The sacred fire in the circle was kept going all night by the fireman, and the Roadman blessed him and I many times with Eagle feathers. As the Roadman prayed to Grandfather Spirit to cleanse the cancer from my Grandpa's body. The Roadman Glen Justky came all the way from a rez north of Casa Grande Arizona and he brought with him family members to assist with the entirety of the sacred ceremony.
I felt blessed just from being as one with our people and to have been under a beautiful starlit night on a mountain top as the coyotes serenaded us with their song, to have heard the crow of the roosters and see the birth of a new wonderful sunrise which became the first day of the rest of my Grandpa's life. He will live longer because the mother seed will cure him from his cancer, and Grandfather Spirit Creator of all will not allow my Grandpa to go home to Grandfather Spirit before his time.
I feel as if I have become one with all of our people and happy to be home.

Attention all Temecula Residents,
If you have any family members going to Vail elementry School, of Temcula Unified School District, you should be aware that there is a breakout of th swine flue and that it has been kept under wraps as far back as early June.
The first cases should have been reported to the CDC in Washington D.C. and Bethesda Maryland CDC.
It was not for obvious reasons. However since my little brother was exposed at the school and contracted the disease we are now all under order and guide lines from the CDC to stay Quarantined for the next 10 days. Two people have died from the disease in the County of Sandiego in the past month.
The Swine Flue is lethal if not treated.
The school district was not particularly in a hurry to make the report. Their main concern is to avoid a money loss from the federal subsidy they recieve for each child. My grandfather Dine' Warrior made a call to the CDC office in Washington DC and henceforth was passed on to the direction of the Bethesda Maryland office.
The School District of Temecula has not made it public to the parents of all the other students in the school.
Many of those children have brothers and sisters that go to middle School and Great Oaks Highschool. The disease can become a major epidemic if not properly handled. The sad part is that not all people have proper medical coverage and can not afford to take their children to the hopital emergency room to get treatment. The latter are the ones that may end up dead, and all because some money hungry school districts only care about the money and not the health of the students.
The Native American communities donate hundreds of thousands of dollars to the school districts in their areas every year, from Gaming on the Rez. I ask myself is it right for our people to be forking out money to the school districts if this is going to be their attitude. I do not think so. My grandfather Dine' Warrior will be going on a crusade to stop this practice, and to make it known to the shool districts that all children go there to recieve an education and not to be put in harms way by money grubbers, who do not care what happens to the children in their trust. No child should be exposed, Native American or other. I am writing this blog under guidance and direction of Grandpa Dine' Warrior.

Congratulations President Obama and Vice President Biden! For the first time in eight years we finally have a president and vice president we can call real leaders. You both also won your election fair and square. I wish you two all the best, but I don't envy.

Obama is also expected to announce he has chosen Lisa Jackson, the chief of staff for New Jersey's governor, to run the EPA and Nancy Sutley, a deputy mayor of Los Angeles, as head of the White House Council on Environmental Quality. ...
Obama has said energy and environmental matters would be important to his administration, and he wants to spend billions of dollars to promote alternative energy sources and create millions of green energy jobs.

I was just watching them for a minute, to see what the enemy was saying on their channel. Every time a Democrat opened their mouth the republican would start talking just so you could not hear the democrat. Completely unchecked by the anchor. It's bad enough that they are openly bias but they use childish tactics as well. Can you say propaganda. They were talking about the religious social conservatives again, talk about a scary group!!! Does not seem to care about anything except matters that do not count. Creationism????? are you kidding me??? Row vs Wade?? Hey republicans didn't you stand for small government that did not trample our rights and stays out of our bedrooms????? What happened???? The Back Story:
It's not hard to argue that the last 8 years have been really bad. It is also not hard to argue that McCain's 2000 campaign and message is must better then his 2008. Those two facts along with some recent events beg the questions. Why did McCain not win in 2000, why did he have to change his message? Why Palin? How stupid can she really be now that she thinks she is the future of the party and McCain is a has been? What happened to the republican party, no matter how much of a democrat you are, you have to wonder what happened, it went to the small government not help the small guy as much party to some really scary right wing religious cult. They have gone well beyond Row vs Wade, they do not even believe in Science anymore.
Besides this campaign there has been a growing problem in our country, deliberate ignorance!!! People who are using religion as a venue to breed ignorance, denounce science and intelligence and celebrating ignorance as "American" This Evangelical movement is potentially as dangerous as the radical muslin movement in the middle east. We might be breeding our own Bin Laden. When movements that go unchecked denounce the logic and a major political party is willing to change is core base and platform to feed this ignorance, it will breed intolerance and hurt our country
So why is Obama good for the GOP:
Obama is killing this Campaign, and Palin who must be one of the most ignorant elected officials in recent times is the air apparent of the republican base. When they loose and they realize that the McCain campaign of 2000 would of competed better, and they realize that the party base favors a stupid person, the blood letting will begin. The religious or social conservatives start to be hold in check, and the republican party gets back to its strengths, we can have a good debate again and government can start working again. With the republicans so far to the right and so twisted that they call it main stream, where true main stream is call liberal, no good government can be done with them.

Sorry, I'm not feeling the National Enquirer image coming from the other ticket. Calling Barack a terrorist? He's the one working hard in law school and streets of Chicago to help citizens and remember the other tickets pokes FUN of service to poverty. Amazing. The only terrorist I see in government, is the one who avoids their own criminal investigation and belonging to a church that drives people out of town and one that pushes for a pipeline and to pave the way, let all the animals around it, suffer and die. Environmental terrorist. Saying Barack has no military experience yesterday was another point that bites her tail off, she has absolutely no military experience either. At the convention, Michelle related the story about how Barack gripped the steering wheel of his car and he drove tentatively down the street, protecting his new little newborn daughter. He checked the review mirror frequently to catch a peek just to make sure things were fine.
I trust that Obama checked more than his review mirror on this economy strife and has checked the mirror frequently on other issues as well. I TRUST him fully. He did contact Bill Clinton and others in making his decisions, he keeps informed, and he maintains communication with who he needs to.
Barack gets my vote, for being a: slow, steady, reasonable, intelligent man that is successful at rallying America for CHANGE. He's a uniter, and a man that appears, and acts and WILL emerge as most presidential.

In a newly-released excerpt from Sarah Palin's CBS News interview with Katie Couric, the vice-presidential nominee was unable to name so much as a single newspaper or magazine she has read (see CBS News, Huffington Post):
COURIC: And when it comes to establishing your worldview, I was curious, what newspapers and magazines did you regularly read before you were tapped for this to stay informed and to understand the world?
PALIN: I've read most of them, again with a great appreciation for the press, for the media.
COURIC: What, specifically?
PALIN: Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me all these years.
COURIC: Can you name a few?
PALIN: I have a vast variety of sources where we get our news, too. Alaska isn't a foreign country, where it's kind of suggested, "Wow, how could you keep in touch with what the rest of Washington, D.C., may be thinking when you live up there in Alaska?" Believe me, Alaska is like a microcosm of America.
The fact that Palin was not able to name so much as a single national or international publication that she has read speaks volumes on how out-of-touch she really is with the world beyond her Alaska backyard. National leaders, and those aspiring to become national leaders, typically read such publications as the New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, and Foreign Affairs. Those possessed of more curiousity about world affairs might look over any of the international news agencies available on the internet. Any average citizen might at least be able to refer to Newsweek, Time, or a regional daily paper that covers national and world news. It appears that, for Sarah Palin, "news" means tuning in at 6:00 for the local 30-minute news broadcast, 20 minutes of which consists of sports and weather.
Palin displays not only a lack of knowledge about the world, but also a lack of curiosity about it - a lack of the desire to know anything, a fatal flaw shared by the Bush administration, but perhaps even more dangerously pronounced in Palin.

So McCain and Obama are only Senators so they do not have real executive experience, they do not have the responsibility and pressure of running a huge state like hmmmm Alaska. Never mind that there are more people in NYC then the entire state. This lack of responsibility is what allows them to campaign while still holding office. So answer me this, if being governor of Alaska is so much work that being it for only two years, not in National politics at all, then who is holding down the fort while Palin campaigns?

So the latest news is they are hoping to have a vote tomorrow or Tuesday. Earlier this weekend the talk was to have it before the foreign markets open tonight. There was some talk of having this down last weekend. When I first heard of the bailout, seeing all the issues on wall street and in the market it made lots of sense to me. But now I have heard it must be done by . . . several times, the time and date came and went and yet the DOW has not been crushed yet. I still guess we need to do something, but is it really as bad as we were led to believe?
How much of this is politics? There is little doubt that we are in a slow down and the next Congress and President will take office in the middle of a recession, but do you think by making such a big deal of it now they are able to say it happened on the other guys watch, being able to deflect blame?

The South East is still in a significant drought, Atlanta especially. China besides investing heavily in our economy is emerging as a serious threat to our country. Spying on us close to cold war levels. Let's talk about industrializing our nation again, NAFTA takes a lot of the blame for jobs moving over sees, but I see the phrase "made in China" over and over these days. Many of our tech jobs are moving to India. We have become a Nation of buyers, with lots of service industries helping us buy things. We are living on our accumulated wealth hoping it never runs out. We are now the Nation of Paris Hilton, living on the wealth and efforts of those who came before us. The election will not solve most of this. One person can not solve this no matter who he is. We need to get involved and stop the bleeding.
One plan I like is the Pickens plan, we are sending way to much money on foreign oil. We also need to think about putting some tariffs on goods coming from China, maybe remove some of that favorite nation status we have been giving them.
