the bees are decreasing quickly. if they die so will we in 4 years. they polinate our food. we must make an attempt to save them
I only have insurance during semesters in grad school. Recently this summer, my local hospital made me drive back home with a broken arm because I forgot my checkbook. Without coverage, they said they could not bill me, it was "policy" that self pay clients pay before being treated.
This was just to get an x-ray and a cast, which my primary doctor prescribed to spare me from ER, because my primary care physician is very way cool, she bills. Dr. Elena Fitchev, for all you Northeastern Chicagoans looking for a really good doctor. She really is very ethical, sharp, and compassionate.
After driving back home, collecting my wallet, and arriving back, after one look at the x-ray the orthopedic surgeon said I "must have" surgery. So....I went home with a temp. cast, and called my brother, a Dr. at Cornell Medical Center in N.Y, for a consult. After speaking with my bro, I called the orthopedic surgeon back, and refused surgery. The ortho surgeon finally revealed that 99% percent of breaks will heal fine in a cast, which is exactly what my bro said.
Can you imagine? That quack wanted to put pins and plates in my wrist, which would have doubled the recovery time, and increased the risk of complications by tenfold. The bills would have added to over ten thousand $$,$$$.! Instead, thanks to my brother, I only wrote a check for $300 for a cast and an ex-ray. I wouldn't step foot into an emergency room in this country, at least not if I could help it.
Having been in France, Canada, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, London etc.... by comparison, this country has barbaric health care, run primarily by wasteful and greedy insurance execs.
It is a racket, bad in one way or another for everyone, and it needs to be stopped.
Please, support a more socially evolved public option of health care, and help America release the grip of greedy, wasteful mayhem.

It is hard to imagine getting into a predicament where I would actually need to kill an animal. Not being a farmer who is trying to raise cattle in a territory roamed by wolves for ions, I can only imagine the predicament today's cattlemen have gotten themselves into.
Wolves are one of the most majestic, socially evolved, and intelligent wild animals these United States have to offer. Yet, for centuries little red riding hood has given them a bad rap. Wolves are generous, caring, loyal animals. They are amazing hunters, great singers, and beautiful creatures. Please let's not let the meat eating greed of humans get out of hand with what was once the territory of wolves. Please, help encourage farmers to cope creatively with the help of appropriate resources, not guns.

If this rule is allowed to stand, nearly two-thirds of the wolves in the Northern Rockies could be killed starting as soon as this spring. I strongly urge Secretary Salazar to stop the implementation of this awful decision and reconsider his approach to wolf conservation in the Northern Rockies.

There has to be a better way than killing wolves, and there is, numerous alternatives have been successfully implemented in the past few years, if given a chance these methods could avoid the needless bloodshed of an endangered species.
Killing livestock is not what wolves are meant to do, but if farmers insist on raising cattle in the midst of territory roamed by wolves for thousands of years, then it is they, the farmers who need to learn to adapt, for they are the true trespassers, not the wolves.

A message from those of us who think that wolves have had enough of the short end of the stick. This is why I donate $40 per week, for this commercial, simply because if McCain thinks so highly of his VP nominee, than I have to question their integrity, judgment and ethics.
The republicans are so ascew, backwards and out of touch they don't come close to getting it.
The aerial killing of wolves is so disgusting it makes the political history of Chicago look honorable. Sure we may have our own way of doing things, but at least our hearts are in the right place and our souls are intact. They don't call this the heartland for nothin.

In my opinion Gov. Palin is committing political suicide by the hands of the Republican Party, and a desperate John McCain. This to me is nothing more than a political media stunt to wow the sheep of the GOP party, and a ploy to attract the hard core Hillary supporters that are stupid enough to play into this idiotic desperate attempt.

I missed like a month on Party Builder, what happened to the Crazy Hillary Supporters Like Femdemo, Paul Hammond and True Blue?

Today we were handed a gift by John McCain. that is that he choose to be his VP: Sara Palin. I was so amazed that he would do something that stupid that I had to turn on three different channels and the read it on the Internet this morning to believe it. MSNBC has been nice to her while CNN has Passively ripped her. I thought he would make a dumb choice by picking Pawlenty, but this by far exceeds any expectations I had about the stupidity someone can have in this big of a decision in politics. I predict that she could be the worst choice for VP ever.
Why do I feel this way ? She's like Ann Culter, Dan Quayle and Ted Stevens rolled into one. first off she will get owned by Joe Biden in a debate, It could be worse than Quayle-Benson, next she is an EXTREME right whinger, then there is the fact that she could be Indicted for her ties to the corrupt Ted Stevens and/ or the Illigit firing of her ex-brother-in-law (which I don't blame her for, but none the less is a possible count for indictment). She brings nothing as far as geography goes (3 Electoral Votes that were Leaning McCain anyway) and she forces him to give up his biggest argument (experience). She has been governor of the most corrupt political state in the nation for only one and a half years. and as if that was not enough there is something much bigger, about McCain. He is wiling to sacrifice his first (and hopefully last) executive decision in a hollow attempt to "Out Minority" Obama. I think it is more sick than anything we have seen through this entire campaign, and we have seen some pretty sick things.
and I am not sexist when it comes to politics (or anything else for that matter), Part of me was rooting for Obama to pick a dark horse in Barbra Boxer (but she would have problems appealing to Independents). Not only is Barack Obama the official nominee for President for the United States Democratic party; he's the first black ever to be nominated to this position. This is history and every one was gushing tears. This really is a time of healing and a time of unity. No one can stuff that away anymore; we are united. I was so overwhelmed, the tears came flooding. I'm so happy for Barack and his family. We, this democratic party, not the Republican party, but THIS Democratic Party was the first diverse party that worked together to support a black man. The Democratic party did this, not the Republican party, but us! Has that hit you yet?? We are a party that doesn't see color, or gender; they do and wanted to make a big deal out of it. You won't see McCain nominating a black, or a woman. So, this is an amazing statement to the people of the democratic party that we just made, we led the way. Now, it's going to seep into the bowels of this country. We are one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for ALL.

She didn't hesitate in grabbing that mike and taking charge in reading the proclamation to nominate Barack. My heart swells with grief, pride and joy simultaneously. We lost a beautiful sister, but gained a beautiful brother. And in gaining that brother, we made leaps of unity.

We all saw Ted Kennedy Speak last night and there is one particular quote that I found Inspirational. it was a reference to his convention speech in 1980 when he gave the famous line "The work goes on, the cause endures, the Hope still lives, and the dream will never die" when Kennedy said this in 1980 he was giving up his life long dream of becoming president, it had become clear that it would never happen, but it was the end of something more than that. It was the end of the chances that there would ever be a full Kennedy presidency. the dream composed by Jack, Robert and Ted had perished in America.
To me it was something greater than even that. What did ted Kennedy say that inspired me last night? "the dream lives on". this coming from Ted Kennedy after he has been diagnosed with Brain Cancer. He has never said such words for any other candidate. he is placing amazing stock and Hope in to Barack Obama. coming from the most recent American Dreamer of our times I feel obligated to act.as Kennedy him self said: "the Work Goes on, the cause endures, the Hope still lives and the dream will never die"

I think we can end this thing, here and now! She's going to be the highlight of this whole convention. SHE DELIVERED. She's gorgeous inside and out. She's already brought my tears and humbled me and inspired me. Today as I ironed, I thought about how she seemed...well, I thought cold, but that's not it, then I thought strong or unfriendly, but no, that's not it! After watching the documentary tonight, it answered that question of who she is: she learned from her father to be respectful at all cost. So, she reserved and respectful and graciousness to each person she meets. That's not cold, or unfriendly, it's smart.
She will be someone that little girls aspire to and her two daughters are already off to a good start with this great mama. Her mother should be very honored and proud. I cried when her mom said she looks up to her daughter, my mom just said this very comment to me. This Michelle and Michelle Obama have good mom's.

I felt your passion for your man, for working hard and desire to save our country (this poor struggling country and hated country due to the cowboy in the capitol who likes to saber rattle...Iran, Iraq, North Korea, Georgia, but still failed to do Pakistan and find his friend and bro Osama Bin Laden).
Funny too, I posted this way before someone else here, they posted it negatively and I got bumped off and he received more comments, go figure. Maybe I should switch my methods here, people are drawn and love the negativity. Why I'm leaving soon...

His mother was age 18, and if he had 2 siblings that attended his birth, making him the 3rd child, she would have started her family at age 14. LOL.
