tomorrow, oprah is presenting a show that is dedicated to her beloved dog, sophie, who died of kidney failure last month. the show is an investigation into puppy mills, where millions of innocent animals are neglected, mistreated and abused. as an extreme animal lover, i am terrified to watch what i know will be a graphic and disturbing program. i do feel, however, that as an extreme animal lover, i am honor bound to watch it. i'm sure it will be sad and disturbing. i hope oprah succeeds in casting a harsh light on this national disgrace, and doing so in the name of her pet is a fitting tribute to sophie. for all of us who love our dogs, cats and all of god's creatures, please try to watch this important program. thanks.
