REFLECTION:It is clear that Obama not McCain has the focus and ability to use the Government to assist the Automobile industry to retool itself and provide jobs for you and your family. We in Flint are no stranger to the cycles of bust and boom in the auto industry. We stand ready for change. "We are all in this together. From CEOs to shareholders, from financiers to factory workers, we all have a stake in each other's success because the more Americans prosper, the more America prospers."

The next President of the United States appeared in Flint MI USA 9/08/08.The next Democratic administration is committed to re-industrialization of American and specifically re-birth of the automobile industry. What Obama demonstrated is ability to advocate positive policies for change. But he cannot help us if he does not win. To win the Palin bump must be addressed. The Democrats will defeat the republican by the strength of policy argument. Our chant to McCain/Palin should be WHERES THE BEEF.In Flint, Obama said" that he -- not McCain -- has consistently advocated changes in tax policy, education, the war in Iraq and the U.S. auto industry that will create jobs and help average families who are struggling.""You can't just make stuff up. You can't just reinvent yourself," he said of McCain. "The American people aren't stupid. What they're looking for is someone who has consistently called for change."Polls have shown that voters consistently rate the economy as the top issue facing the nation this election season. Obama/Biden are talking economics, health care, good alternative fuel, national security, and correcting the chaos Bush has caused our national economy and international image. McCain/Palin are talking religious conversion and 4 more years of Bush policies. Its time for a change.[trb]

REFLECTIONS:
Bible thumpers are fair game in this election. They put themselves forward politically. They are an identifiable constituency that intends to elect a president that will promote their position on national issues. That is their right. It is our right to defeat them. We should take the gloves off. They are not involved in a political debate. They are in a war to impose their view of the world on us. Palin ,a self described agent of GOD, intends to make her theological conservatism your new law when she is elected. What are you going to do today to defend Democratic values and our countries founding principals of the Separation of Church and State. Take one action today to support the Obama/Biden ticket.

Now that the dust has settled in Denver, and all the kool aid was drunk. with McCains pick for VP it is now even clearer what a mistake Obama made by NOT picking Hillary as his running Mate. Us Hillary fans who can NOT and will NOT bring our selves to vote for Obama we now have the Opportunity to help smash the glass ceiling that we helped Hillary, put those 18 million cracks in.
I have been a strick democrat since 1981, have donate much money to Democratic causes. this will be MY first year of NOT voting for the democrat on the ticket. This is the beaty of free speach adn voting our hearts adn councious that we DON NOT have to vote because we are told to.
When I found out that a fellow Michgan delegate was removed from the convention by obama's staff because They DID NOT want to VOTE for OBAMA and would rather vote for McCain. this shows me how Sen Obama DOES NOT believe in Free speech if you DO NOT agree with him.
HIS Policies and votes show how much of a risk he really is. he DOES not gaurantee he will place any other types of Supreme court justices any better than BUSH.
The Party officals of Dean adn pelosi are not any better, Ms Pelosi has handed President BUSH EVERYTHING he wanted adn more on a silver platter. she has NEVER stood up againgst him and will probally fight back on Obama's plans over Bush's/ What a SHAME.
This is why I WILL write in Hillary os not a vote for McCainbut as A VOTE AGAINGST Mr OBAMA and the DNC.
If More people did this it woud Show the leaders of the DNC that we will NOT just DRINK the Koolaid and tell us to vote for the candidate no matter how bad they may be because of a back room deal made in 2004 with Obama.

What a great speech, orator and leader. The real battle now starts. What can we do to help our country by electing Barrack Obama President of the United States? Count me in! What about You? It is great to be an American and a Democrat. Yes John we Democrats love our country and will fight for it. I have the same honorable discharge you do. I honor your service and I dishonor your politics and personal characteristics. We must all join this fight. What do you suggest we activist, concerned Americans and street politics blogospherites Democrats do to help Obama win this war?[trb]

ITS GREAT TO BE AN AMERICAN http://gallery1.demconvention.com/
He pledged to cut taxes for nearly all working-class families, end the war in Iraq and break America's dependence on Mideast oil within a decade. Portraying a McCain administration as a continuation of the current Bush White House, Obama said, "On Nov. 4, we must stand up and say: 'Eight is enough.'"

Title: Speaking About Our Nation's Promise!
While speaking in new venues, Barack Obama laid out his vision about how the U.S.A. should work. Obama was impressive in describing America's promise, and saying, "this race is not about me, it's about you (the American people)."
The speech was inspiring and intimate and at one point he stated, "I really am one of you." As he boldly attacked the status quo, he was thorough and he filled his remarks with detail. Obama said what America thirsts for is a new politics for a new time.
Barack Obama's speech was crystal clear and resonated as an insistent summons to move forward as we face a turning point in our nation's history.
Knocking it out of the ball park at Invesco Field in Denver, Obama delivered a hit heard around the world! He addressed it all, from pocketbook issues and the American Dream to national security and the need to improve our standing in world affairs. It was an electrifying event with 85,000 people in attendance. What a great experience I have had as a first-time convention delegate!
Wow! Democrats have reached the unity phase. We are organized, energized and mobilized. It is all about our nation's promise

ANOTHER SMALL VICTORY FOR THE BLOGOSPHERE
Five years of blogging has brought Jeff Ooi a measure of notoriety. His biting posts on Malaysian politics sparked police investigations.
A pro-government newspaper sued him for libel. A prominent politician compared bloggers to monkeys in a lawless jungle.
In January, as Malaysia braced for national elections, a new banner went up on his blog
( www.jeffooi.com ): Get a Blogger Into Parliament. Fueled by donations and manpower, Mr. Ooi easily defeated a ruling-party candidate to win a parliamentary seat on Penang Island.

Bravissimo! Bravissimo! Bravissimo!
That is Italian for Democrats kick butt. For the third consecutive day the 2008 Democratic National Convention gets more exciting and more uniting! On Wednesday the convention nominated Barack Obama as our Presidential nominee by acclamation and Joe Biden as our VP nominee.
It really is exciting to participate as a delegate and listen to forward-looking ideas that embrace our nation and provide a blueprint for taking our nation in a new direction. Among the many stars showcased at the convention, four individuals have achieved the alpha star (the brightest star) category. They are Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton and Senator Joe Biden--and in their speeches a common thread describes a fairly remarkable Democratic Party transformation.
President Bill Clinton's remarks included the need to rebuild the American Dream and restore America as a respected leader in the world community. Clinton was engaging and convincing in his support of the Obama-Biden campaign.
Senator Joe Biden also gave an impressive speech. He observed how Barack Obama is a great American story and that from their upbringings they share a common story. In addition to telling his life story, Sen. Biden covered foreign policy and spoke about pocketbook issues for everyday Americans.
What a historic day! Inspiring! Uniting! Stay tuned for Thursday evening.

LEE GONZALES DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL CONVENTION BLOG

On August 19th in the evening Senator Clinton hosted a delegate conference call to discuss this year? historic convention. As a Hillary Clinton delegate, I was asked to participate in the call. In the spirit of the 2008 Olympic Games, she passionately affirmed that Senator Obama and our Democratic Party must cross the finish line in first place to ensure a better America.
Senator Clinton mentioned she has been and is working closely with Senator Obama and his team to make sure we have an exciting, energized and unified convention. Senator Clinton stated she would cast her superdelegate vote for Senator Obama, as well as release her delegates next Wednesday. (By the way, I? still learning procedurally how the roll-call process will work.)
It was an inspiring dialogue that included background on the Democratic Party Platform. She outlined some of the key elements calling for national healthcare (not as an aspiration, but a real action plan), the need to value families rather than talking family values, and an economic message that is forward-looking and engages entrepreneurs and innovators as we compete in the new global knowledge economy.
It sounds like we will soon know our Democratic V.P. candidate, a selection I? certain who will complement Senator Barack Obama. In order to win this race for President and cross the finish line in first place, this absolutely calls for your support, advice and mobilization.
