The purpose is to develop ways of presenting issues to show that the Republicans are incompetent and cruel and it is essential that the Democrats win. This we have completely failed to do. Register to Vote at Rock the Vote

Register to vote, and send Voltage to play at the Democratic National Convention.  We have songs that are perfect for the event already written, and I am already the number one democrat at the DNC.

to put him over the top. Wasn't it just a few months ago Obama supporters were fuming about Clinton's super delegates. If the super delegates put her over the top they complained that would be stealing the election. Well Obama's campaign is absolutely two faced with this move tonight. Obama did not win the nomination by popular votes or by pledged delegates. What a sad commentary, this election smells worse than limburger cheese.
This summer, President George W. Bush will smile while jaunting up the stairs to Air Force One - his laughable presidency all but over - with not a care in the world.

For 13 hours, he'll lie on a couch in the airplane, drink pomegranate-flavored water and watch reruns of Texas Rangers games from the glory days of Nolan Ryan and Jose Canseco

Eventually, he'll land in Beijing, China, for the 2008 Summer Olympics. He'll pose and smile for photos with great Chinese leaders.

You'll definitely read about it in the newspaper, and so will people just like you all over the world; and you'll probably feel pretty good when you do. Like a bottle of cheap gin the whole globe can pass around, the Olympics somehow make it okay to forget for a little while.

This is helpful for most of us, but somewhat unfortunate for the Tibetan people, whose struggle against occupation has gone on for nearly 60 years

In 1951, the Chinese government annexed Tibet and declared it part of China. In 1959, an uprising resulted in the expulsion of the Dalai Lama; since that time he has run a "government in exile" based in India and become a martyr for global political rights.

On March 10, in honor of the 49th anniversary of China's great experiment in the abuse of state sovereignty, Tibetan monks began to protest en masse the continued demonization of the Dalai Lama and China's efforts to ethnically cleanse Tibetans.

China, for its part, pledged to "resolutely crush" those people. Within days, it launched a fresh military campaign in the region. It kicked out journalists and declared no quarter on religious figures.

Anyway, a generation later, as a reward for Chinese progress and a concession that China has established itself as a modern global player, it gets to host the Olympics!

Irony in such high doses should be fatal.

I just read a wonderful article by Elizabeth Edwards about the press and how it is failing the electorate. In it she cites the campaigns of several candidates on both sides of the aisle and how the press handled their coverage of those campaigns.

Before you go to the article (if you haven't already read it) think about whether you know more about Obama's bowling scores than his healthcare plan.

It looks like Hillary will win not by 11% (as I predicted) but only by about 8%---far less than the 20%-30% lead she had just weeks ago.

I just heard her use her campaign as a reason to tell little girls "they can do anything they want." Of course they can. I just hope they don't believe the only way they can win is by lies and deceit like Hillary.

She also comments about her need for money. Such a "great" campaigner that she's in the red, while the "junior" senator is beating her big time in income---mostly from individuals with not that much money.

From MSNBC: "Shiller: Housing slump may exceed Depression."

I have been calling this a recession for over a year; and I do not believe depression is too strong a term at present. It may be fine for the very upper middle and upper class; but for most of us it, at the very least is DEPRESSING. We wanted a great president; and we got a Herbert Hoover wannabe.

McCain has already admittted he knows little about economics; and his responses so far are worse than feeble.  We MUST have Democrats in the White House and congress.

You can read the article here:

Some "group" (probably Republicans, but who knows) have produced a commercial of the "Willie Horton" type that tries to make Obama look soft on crime and extends it to the so-called war on terror. It is an extremely good example of one of the major things wrong with the political process in the United States of America and that Obama has tried very hard to avoid using.

Today Hillary Clinton started a similar negative fear mongering ad; but this one is far beyond Hillary's because it is just outright deceit and doesn't even try to paint the true picture of the background involved.

I hope you'll check out this video; but remember it is only produced for shock value, to produce fear and smear by ALMOST telling the truth.

You WILL enjoy this.

I'll bet this was already posted; but, just in case, it is an excellent source for seeing the many foreign trips Hillary Clinton took during her 8 years as First Lady, etc.

It is not a graph that has a positive or negative view of Hillary as its purpose as far as I can tell.

You can find it here:  LINK

Since there are rumors that the Clinton campaign is trying to hide the actual locations of Texas County Covention Headquarters locations, I thought I should post this.

LINK

It has the locations/sites where Democrats (especially Obama supporters) should be tomorrow morning to make sure they aren't cheated out of their delegates.

This is a late post; and it may have already been posted.  I thought it was too important to ignore it since I just found it.

Mike

According to TPM AND "The Union Leader" (New Hampshire), some folk are rethinking their state's putting Hillary in the "win" column for that state.

Why?

Find out here.

BTW, since Hillary has already opened the door for both superdelegates and regular delegates to vote for whomever they will, I think the delegates and superdelegates in New Hampshire might want to go ahead and turn the election around to take another state away from Hillary.

Now that I have your attention, I just saw a report at HuffPost that says that 25% of Democrats who don't support Obama believe he is a Muslim. Just in case you are one of those ignorant folk, please reconsider the stupidity of it since he's been given headaches by things his CHRISTIAN pastor said (and that have also been taken out of context by the media and represent a few screw ups in 30 years of ministry). Here's the article. LINK

I also should note that Hillary Clinton is complicit in helping this lie to fester by saying something like, "I have no reason to believe Obama is Muslim," rather than a flat "No" to questions about it.

Please consider distributing it to your Democratic friends who are not on Partybuilder.

Mike

The most complete coverage I have seen is on Veracifier right now at this link.

It includes the pilot of the aircraft, Howard Wolfson, Hillary Clinton (several different statements), reporters who were with her, and even Sinbad and Chelsea Clinton.

You decide whether she just forgot or thought she'd get away with a gross embellishment.

It's from Alternet and titled: "Not Wright: Black Man Damns US and Gets Vilified, White Man Calls for Nuking Cities and Gets Applauded" in case you already read it. I know about Francis Schaeffer because of my study of theology; and he is a very intelligent and thorough writer. I just don't happen to agree with him.

Alternet has an article by Steve Rizzo talking about the intention of one candidate to either win the Democratic nomination or destroy the party. (That isn't exactly what he said; but that's the way it seems to me.) It is well written and helps to back up what FOS said earlier Throw mud, throw mud, throw mud, see what sticks.

She is losing badly. She has much more garbage in her background than Obama. She is more divisive than the majority of Democratic politicians. She already had eight years in the White House anyway.

Obama is going to beat her in delegates and in the popular vote. Why should he bow out?

Throughout this race he has treated Hillary with kid gloves; but she continues to see how much mud (true or not) will stick.
