Organizing for America is launching a series of Listening Tours throughout the country to reconnect with supporters and begin to build on the incredible grassroots organization that was created during the campaign.
We have one goal with these meetings -- to listen.
Your ideas will be used to help write state-specific plans for Organizing for America in 2009 and beyond.
At these meetings, supporters are able to meet state staff members, hear about some of the lessons learned during the election, and offer thoughts on how best to organize in their communities.

Now the White House is officially getting in on the near-universal mockery of the GOP budget proposal released Thursday.
In an interview on Bloomberg TV (no link yet), White House budget director Peter Orszag called it the "first budget that doesn't have any numbers in it," and charged that Republicans have gone from "the party of 'no' to the party of 'no detail.'"
The DNC just released a pretty brutal -- not to mention funny -- video mocking the Republican leadership in the House of Representatives for releasing a budget with no numbers in it.

Michelle Obama sent out a special message today, wishing everyone a happy holiday and encouraging those who can to reach out to those in need this holiday season:
This holiday season, the grassroots movement you helped build can make a big difference for those in need.
I hope you will join me in supporting your favorite charity or contributing to causes that are especially meaningful to me and my family.
While many of us will spend the holidays counting our blessings and sharing dinner with loved ones, millions of people around the country won't be so fortunate. Donating to your local food bank will help provide a holiday meal to people in your community who can't afford one.
Talking with the families of deployed troops was one of the most rewarding experiences I had during the campaign. Giving to Operation USO Care Package is a great way to send members of our military stationed around the world a reminder that someone back home is thinking of them.
This is a time to celebrate our blessings, the new year, and a new era for our country. But it's also a time to come together on behalf of those who need our help.
Do what you can to help today by locating your local food bank and giving your support.

I have yet to hear the MSM say that the Burden of the American Economy is on George Bush's Shoulder, Mind or Heart.
Everybody knows that their is only One sitting President at a time so if they feel that Barack Obama should take Charge this, then they should petition George "the Recession Maker" Bush and tell him to resign and vacate the office of the Presidency and cede all power to Barack Obama Right Now.
This is George Bush's Recession and the Media Talking heads do not want to blame him for his own ineptness and incompetence, but We the American People Knows that the one and only Culprit is George W. Bush.
So the Question should be, "What is President Bush doing about This Recession?"

I was so appalled at this woman's comments that I just couldn't just sit there-- I had to open up my empty wallet and give another $20.00 to help rid the congress of this piece of trash!!! She will do NOTHING to unite this country during these hard times when we all need to work together... She needs to ride off on her broom to the land of congressional members with NO ethics!! Below is my letter to her opponent:

My name is Gretchen and I am a Certified Nurse-Midwife, mother of 5 and grandmother, from Washington State. I just donated to your campaign. I just listened to your opponent’s terrible comments about Barack Obama and felt the need to contribute to your campaign. We don't need politicians in Washington D.C. that illicit this type of hate. We need people who will address the issues that we all are facing in these difficult times. A Republican, Colin Powell said it best today, when he stated how disappointed he was with this type of campaign-- one that distracts us from the real issues that hard-working Americans are facing on a daily basis. We will ALL need to work hard to restore our country back to the strong nation it once was-- Your opponent’s words/beliefs will prevent this from happening.
