During the past few weeks, I've heard from many folks that the usability of Partybuilder is affected by the length of posts--and that most users are not using the extended post features.

We're now investigating the possibility of placing a character or word limit on the space before the jump. What do you think of this idea? Will that help start to address some of the Partybuilder problems? And what kind of character or word limit should there be?

Senate Republicans are threatening to filibuster a bill by Senators Levin and Reed that would require President Bush to begin troop withdrawal within 120 days, with most coming home by April 2008.

But Senator Majority Leader Harry Reid has decided that he's not going to let them just make a threat and walk away--he's going to make them stand up in front of the American people and take responsibility for staying in Iraq.

Tonight the Senate will debate all night long on the Levin-Reed amendment. You can help by using our simple tool to write a letter and email or fax it to your Senators instantly--let's keep up the pressure all day and all night long on the Republicans to support the Levin-Reed amendment.

McCain's campaign was "jetting to 35 fund-raising events in the 30 days of June, hoping to raise more than $100,000 at each from small groups of big donors." Or was it? Even though McCain's campaign web site listed an event in St. Petersburg, Florida, "no such event took place," and the local County chairman "said he was never aware of any St. Pete event being planned." The Tampa Tribune also found that McCain's web site "showed an unspecified Pensacola event to be held Tuesday, which didn't occur." He's not voting, not fundraising...what IS McCain doing?

I want to let everyone know about a really exciting opportunity to interact with the Democratic presidential candidates—through YouTube!

The first DNC sanctioned debate will take place on July 23, 2007 in Charleston, South Carolina, and will be sponsored by YouTube/Google and CNN. In a new twist, voters will be able to submit their questions to the candidates via YouTube.  Read more in the extended post.
