Just a place to put my thoughts on the day.

I live in Houston,Tx. inside what we call "the loop" in the Medical Center. I say that because it is a very transient area with lots of students and medical personel. I have put my Obama signs up and on occasion post information in the public areas. These last days of the campaign I have had a countdown of days to election day on my front window. I was not sure anyone paid attention. On the way to work today I was stopped to ask where the area polling place would be, I did in fact have that information. So I went back to the house and made cards to place in those public areas. Tonight in my mail box was inquiries as to where the watch party for our complex would be. They were paying attention.
first results official results:
John McCain........6
Ralph Nader........0
Barack Obama.......15
I am so ready for the final push to the Whitehouse.
As spoken by Barack just now. I think he may be finally allowing himself to believe.
on CNN and MSNBC
It seems my neighbors in the complex I live in have largly taken advantage of the opportunity to vote early. I think it helped a lot that the busiest grocery store was the early voting site.
More than two million registered Texans cast a ballot during the first eight days of the early voting period, which ends Friday, Oct. 31.
This is awesome.
Tom Delay[criminal] is on hardball talking about Barack. The nerve.
and why is he now an expert on politics?
I hear him speak with such assured authority about politics and he is not as some comics putting a funny spin on it.
I'm confused...........
Ok, got that off my chest.

I just read this from 2 days ago. I have learned to appreciate his calm, matter of fact demeanor

but I will just give you the most OBVIOUS example of MANAGEMENT SKILLS that even the most divisive republicans have had to acknowledge.

Barack Obama has organized and managed the most effective campaign in 52 different states than anyone in the history of this country.

He has organized and managed tens of thousands of hires and volunteers and come from a complete unknown name -----countering the best known names and tested campaign machines in the nation.

He beat all our really wonderful candidates, the best known being the Clinton's----who started out being the expected winner-----and now he has even beaten the RNC who hasn't lost an election in 8 years---

that is just the current most obvious example and you obviously don't even know that since you have said:
quote:"Obama has absolutely NO experience managing any form of endeavor"

In contrast---McCain's own party is admitting that McCain has organized and managed the worse campaign in history-----and his judgements at every turn have been way off base.----of course this is not the first time he has managed a loosing campaign for President.

geez---McCain running the country like he has run a campaign is truely scary.
Just his recent judgements on his VP pick and his assessment of our economy and what he should do about is should send any intellegent person running away ---- and on top of that, LOOK AT MCCAIN'S MANAGEMENT SKILLS----
what the hell has he managed?
a failed school student
a failed pilot
a failed marraige
and he has lived off of someone else and the American tax payers tit all his life----

well----just a little of my two cents lol

If the margin of victory is small the more likely the chance of litigation and delay. We all know if it goes to the courts our efforts are at risk.
We must make this a decisive election.
This is my observation....

I am sitting hear listening to Barack speak in Fort Collins Co. and wondering how he could do it?
He is carrying on this campaign with not a stitch of hesitancy. There has to be in the back of his mind and heavy on his heart that his beloved grandmother, the only parent figure left in his life may not be here much longer.
The strength of his committment to this campaign is obvious. I can only suppose what the conversation with his grandmother must have entailed. Knowing from all accounts of her , I am sure she told him to complete this journey.
Hmmm why is that , I wonder?
This publication has only endorsed one other Democratic candidate, Lyndon Johnson.   Read More »
I am a 53 year old catholic. Raised by a grandmother who was "more catholic than the Pope" is how she was described.
My reason for writing here is not to explain my support for Barack but to instead explain why I decided not to be swayed by one issue.
We, as catholics have been for years lead by the nose on that one issue. We have been fooled into voting for bad candidates on that one issue. We have been so neatly stowed in that one issue box that they don't even try to woo us. These guys know all they have to do is ignore all else and put that one issue at the forefront for catholics and we will cave.
I have choosen in this election to look at the greater good for my country. To vote for someone with a vision, with compassion and intelligence.
Barack Obama is a Christian and abortion is an issue that concerns all christians. It is an issue that men and women with bad judgement can not solve. it is an issue that requires education.
We need Barack Obama in office for the sake of all of us. For all of our country.

Good information for Harris County, Texas voters.
