Some of them pretend to be Hillary Clinton supporters and say the most outrageous things about how "corrupt" Obama is and how he's the least experienced person ever to seek or assume the Presidency. No, that would perhaps be Abraham Lincoln (8 years in the IL state legislature and a 2-year term in the U.S. House, Teddy Roosevelt (2 years as Governor of NY, 6 months as VP of the US), FDR (2 years in the NY state legislature, 4 years as Governor of NY), Ronald Reagan (who I don't consider a great President but many do, 8 years as Governor of California); Bill Clinton (11 years as Governor of Arkansas). Government experience isn't what makes someone a great President.
Even by those terms, Hillary Clinton (intelligent and capable as she is) has very limited experience, especially when compared to a Joe Biden, Chris Dodd or Bill Richardson. If experience was what people were looking for during the primaries, how come most of these Obama nay-sayers were campaigning for Clinton rather than the candidates whose resumes make hers pale by comparison?
Back to the issue at hand.
Still other people posting here have been pretending to be Obama supporters and are bullying the frustrated Clinton supporters (who have every right to their opinions) by saying the most misogynist things I've heard in 20 years and accusing the Clintons falsely of everything but kidnapping the Lindbergh baby.
I'm waiting for my theory to be proven by a really great investigative journalist, but I'm pretty sure I'm not far off the mark. So here goes>>>
60%+ of these supposed frustrated Democrats (and people who keep declaring "PUMA power" and the like) are not actually Democrats/Progressives/Liberals. They're not even Hillary Clinton supporters.
True, about 40% of them are legit (Cristi Adkins, etc.), though they remain ill-informed about how the nominating process actually works (it's been decided, folks - based on Delegates and Super Delegates, Obama had more of both).
The people who truly voted for and believe in Hillary Clinton I can understand. They have a legitimate claim to wanting to see HRC as President, although there is no way that can now happen in 2008. But if they really supported Hillary Clinton so much, why aren't they doing what she's doing and putting their energy behind the person who she supports? Barack Obama.
So that brings us back to the mysterious 60%... if they're not really legitimate Hillary Clinton supporters, then who are they? Who are these people pretending to be PUMAs?
They are Republican bloggers pretending to be Clinton-supporting Democrats.
They are trying to get us to fight amogst ourselves and split the party. They're fanning the flames, getting the 40% of legitimate HRC supporters who are still hurt (and sizing up the situation) to think that John McCain is a reasonable alternative to Hillary Clinton.
McCain isn't, and Hillary Clinton has been telling us that for weeks.
Barack Obama is the reasonable alternative. I don't agree with him on everything. As a matter of fact, I agreed with Hillary Clinton on more issues that Obama. But, like Hillary Clinton herself, I support Obama because he represents the closest alternative to her principles and is the ONLY chance Democrats have of regaining the White House and saving the Supreme Court and the U.S. Constitution.
But doesn't Hillary Clinton still have a chance at the nomination?
No.
And these Republicans pretending to be HRC supporters on here know that.
These Republicans posing as PUMAs want the less-informed amongst us to think she still has a chance to win. They want those people who gave HRC money and time and dedication to believe that the party is divided. They want us to fight.
It's evil, it's insidious. It's what Republicans do.
Why are people falling for this? The party is not divided. Most intelligent, informed people know that HRC has ZERO shot at the nomination and that she and Obama have almost identical voting records and stand for the same principles.
And I'm urging the Obama supporters not to fall for this either. The vitriol isn't really coming from Hillary Clinton herself or her supporters/campaign staff. It's coming from Republicans who are pretending to be her supporters and throwing gasoline into the fire.
So regarding the person who stated on here that "I'm overworked, paycheck to paycheck, and middle-aged. Go PUMA!"...
DON'T YOU BELIEVE IT. Messages like that are coming from smarmy 26 year old Republican operatives who want to protect their trust funds and are studying at the knee of Mr. Rove.

And, if this is what it is... McCain has sealed this fate, the exact doom visited upon Al Gore. Boosting the selective interest of Lieberman, which did not reflect his previous electorate resulting in the independent senator from Connecticut.
Prepare for the attempts to make the real issues, non-issues and the media to allow war-mongering as the debate for mankind.
A dangerous, convoluted, and a desperate affront to the will of the people vs a select few.

John McCain refer to Lieberman as "the best democrat he knows...???" 07/30/2008, CNN. No one cared to correct this absolute blunder...Where were their pundits?
